Various Spinning Reels

What’s a good spinning reel for under $100?

It’s about that time to replace my 12 year old reel. I am looking to do some lake trout fishing and just need something good for 6-8 pound test. Looking for something reliable with smooth casting and something that will last a while (given that I take care of it). I’ve been looking at some Shimanos (Sahara, Symetre, etc.) and various Quantums. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I notice that the reels you mentioned are all spinning reels and I have no experience with them. But I can tell you this- in the world of bait casting reels I find the Shimano to be at the head of the class. If I bought a spinning reel, it also would be a Shimano. They make a great product.
