Good Spinning reel?extra points 4 good ansa?

I have $150 to spend on a REEL and I will be using it to target snapper, 3-4ft sharks etc off a Kayak and Pier, any suggestions?

The Quantum Cabo IS a fantastic reel , (esp for Flats fishing), but it’s about $60 out of your price range.

I think you would be very happy with a Penn Slammer reel. They are under $150 and have a great reputation for durability. In my opinion, the Slammer is the best spinning reel Penn has manufactured in quite some time. Pier, Jetty & Kayak saltwater fishing puts the MOST strain on a spinning reel. (Esp when Jetty & Kayak fishing where the reel has the most opportunity to get fully submerged in saltwater frequently!) When hunting for a reel, It’s important to go with a “tried and true” design that is all-metal and possibly sealed, (or easily taken apart for a servicing). Think about that when your shopping for a reel……..
