I have a Tealcraft 22 foot river cruiser built by FW Childs of Middleton Lancashire circa 1980. I’m trying to find details of cruising specification for this type of boat as I want to replace the 15HP outboard with something bigger. Eg. Max cruising speed, what hull design, outboard required (short/long shaft), max outboard size practical. Does anyone know of a site or forum where other teal 22 owners hang out and I could discuss these questions with?

A padded vhull is very similar in basic shape to the popular vhull which simply forms a vee when looking at the back of the watercraft.
