Rooster Tail Spinner
What were one of the first lures you bought when you started out fishing?
I’m pretty confident, that i bought a cheap rooster tail knock-off called the “Gitzit Small Fry Spinner” …
What was the first lure you ever bought?
Before that, i had fished with small curly-tailed grubs for panfish. (Many times on answers i give, i will mention the pink jig-head and chartreuse grub … That was the first lure i used, and the best.)
Lukas, i also started with worms and bobbers. And sometimes i go back to it, for fun. Ahhh … when the bass aren’t hitting I’m either throwing lures at bluegill or baiting them in. (Don’t forget the two medium-heavy rods out that i’m carp/catfishing with!
Believe it or not, the first “lures” I ever purchased was a Hula Popper and a Jitterbug.
I caught lots of fish on the Hula but very few on the Jitterbug. (I later learned that Jitterbugs are best used at night with a constant retrieve.)
I remember when Culprit worms first came out. They made Creme worms look like rubber bands! (lol)
Man, what a long strange trip it’s been………(lol)
