Power Boat Anchor
Is keeping a Win98 machine even an option anymore?
I want a new computer, but my wife thinks as long as she can get online, check e-mail,and pay bills, it’s good enough.
This machine was 900.00 in 99. State of the art for about three months. I can get one now for 299.00 that has allot more power, speed, and storage.
Microsoft doesn’t support it anymore. New versions of some programs like Flash, or Windows media player, don’t work with Win98 or crash the computer.
I checked around, schools, libraries, etc don’t even want it. It’s too old.
Help me out here. Is it a boat anchor?
I would trash it. just checked walmart.com and you can get a new one without Monitor for 200.
