Whats the most reliable knot to use to tie a braided main line to a mono shock leader?

i’m currently using a baitcaster – abu garcia revo stx (freshwater reel) with a 30 Ibs test pound main line. I was thinking of tying it to a mono shock leader. What is the most reliable knot to use and what sort of test pound shock leader should i use. Since i’ll be casting my lure all day long so which knot is the best with the least external exposure yet reliable in breakage/ slips. I dont want to damage my guide ring
Yep i know 30 lbs test is too much, i’ve always gone with a 10lbs without any shock leader, just my mainline to my lure has always been that way. the reason 30 lbs was i went offshore for light jigging and popping a week back, it was amazing with considerably light tackle landing GTs and Tunas. and now i’m lazy to spool back my 10lbs braid

I`d go with the Albright or improved albright knot. You shouldnt worry about the knot messing with your guides because the knot is streamlined, also you shouldnt need to reel in the shock leader far so that the knot is in the guides anyway. Isnt 30lb braid and a shock leader a little much for freshwater fishing? I hope you`re not fishing a rocky area as any nicks in the braid will cause the line to snap without warning. Braid may have a smaller diameter but mono even fluoro is way more durable.

Then why not just buy another spool for the reel? I have spare spools for my reels and instead of stripping a spool to change the line I just bought a new replacement spool and had heavier line put on that…saves a heck of a lot of time.

I still disagree that braid is more durable than mono when it comes to rock and other structure. No tog fisherman or any fisherman bottom fishing will use braid bc if you have a fish on and they head for the structure your line is gone. Mono on the otherhand wont pop like braid does
