Fishing for trout in a relatively shallow stream?

What is the best way to catch trout in a relatively shallow stream?
What sort of bait or lures should I use?
What other good advice could you share with me?

In a shallow steam the trout look for the best cover for protection and as an ambush spot. Look for under cut banks in a bend of the stream, blow downs or log jams, rock plies or any thing that breaks the current.
Best baits in these spots range from small spinners { Panther Martins} to drifting spawn or worms or crawlers—- to increase your catch use a fluorocarbon leader if the water is very clear, fluorocarbon has the same light refaction as water and is invisible to the fish.
