I will be going to Minnesota in the near future, Where is a good place to Fish?

I will be in Saint Louis County this summer and I want to know where might be a good lake or lakes to try my luck at? I know there are about 10 million lakes up there in MN where might I fish without a boat?

best fishing is in the north, LAKE OF THE WOODS, Rainy LAKE, and Rainy River, also Leach Lake, and Mille Lacs Lake, they all have reasonable boat rentals for you.
but there are many smaller lakes all over the state with good fishing.
