Fishing Boats Half Moon Bay

Is it safe to fish and consume fish/crab from off the coast of Half Moon Bay given the oil spill in SF Bay?

I want to take some visitors out fishing on a fishing boat from Half Moon Bay but I’m concerned about the impact from yesterday’s oil spill in SF Bay. I am specifically concerned about whether it would be safe to consume fish from off the coast of Half Moon Bay. I’m worried that the oil spill might contaminate the fish and make them unsafe to eat.

We (our government) better update some better standards for this oil spill problem! Spent many years in AK., (Southeastern) and know how down-right disgustin’ it was (Valdez oil spill)!!! Pacific waters were a total mess!!
