Fishing trip honeymoon?

Hello, this July I will be getting married and will not have a whole lot of money to spend on a honeymoon. I decided that I want to go somewhere that my new husband can fish his little heart out. Shore fishing, or boat fishing but not a boat thats so crowded he can’t enjoy it. We live in Vegas so the closest place I guess would be California. Anyone know any good spots that are affordable? Any details I will need to know? Thanks!
Fishing is not my main concern. I would just like to go somewhere where he can fish, not a fishing only trip.

He did not ask to go fishing, he has no idea that I even want to plan it. I’m trying to set it up like a little surprise. I am getting all that I want out of the wedding, the least I can do is let him fish!

Comin’ from ol “Sin City” are ya’;) … If your lookin’ at Cali., the areas that comes to my mind would be Lake Don Pedro or Bass Lake mainly because you’d have the best of two worlds ie., fishin’ for him and Yosemite National Park for the both of ya’. Believe you’d just come up Hwy 395 from Vegas, sooo what your lookin’ at is petrol aka gas, entrance fees to the park ($20.00 per vehicle) and lodgin’ (campin’ is also permitted). Don Pedro has an entrance fee of ($7.00 per day) ~ Bass Lake entrance fee is a’ freebie;)…

Note: Keep in mind that the month of July is a' purrrrty busy time, so just be prepared for them people/crowds…
