What’s the best boat for me?

A simple boat for me and my friend for everyday fishing in a lake. Safe. It needs to fit 2-3 adults comfortably. Multiply air chambers (for inflatable boats). Preferred 2 seats. Budget for boat alone (no accessories) is $500.

A canoe did go through my head but they tend to lean towards the expensive side. Unless someone could give me some examples to prove me wrong.

I recently purchased a 14′ Aluminum V-hull and trailer from craiglist for $500. Keep your eyes peeled there are a lot of people trying to get rid of their boats these days.

Check newspapers, craigslist, and ebay.

Don’t be afraid to negotiate the price.
