What do you think, Powerbelt bullets, or scope on Muzzleloader (or both) made a difference?

I have a CVA Eclipse 209 Magnum Muzzleloader for seven years now, and my friends and I could never get it to shoot consistantly. So in the meantime, where I hunt you may use a crossbow in muzzleloader season so I have.
One of my friends told me to scope it, so I let him put a scope on it, a Bushnell Banner 2 x 20.
I also bought Power Belt 270 grn .50 cal. Platinum Aero Tip, and Hornady FPB 350 grn .50 cal bullets.
Loaded up with 3 X 50 grn pellets of Pyrodex (Magnum Load), and shot it at an outdoor range. I got 1″ groups with both the PB and FPBs.
Don’t know if it was the scope maybe more weight, to muzzleloader, or maybe the Power Belt bullets. What do you think?
All I know is my CVA Eclipse 209 Magnum is ready for Muzzleloader Season. Oh, and what a kick it has now too!

Your results sound typical. My wife, Brother in law and I all hunt with CVA muzzle loaders. I use a 209 Optima, I mounted a Nikon 3 x 9 scope and I use 240 grain Jacketed Hollow Point rounds with 150 grains of pyrodex pellets. Last year I shot a big doe at 165 yards and she never took a step.

There are guys up here that use a muzzle loader during shot-gun season because for them a muzzle loader is more accurate.
