where and what to fish for?

at stockton lake, the water is really high. i am getting ready to go fishing sometime soon. stockton has bluffs on the side, and a lot of coves, last time i went. i caught a 5+ lb. catfish on the bluff with a jig. there is a bunch of brush and small trees at the bottom. i was wondering for these conditions what should i fish for? and where? another thing is what type of lure should i use for the type of fish i want?

i would say bass especially because of the brush and small trees at the bottom. bass conger gate there. also try a single not a tandem spinner bait they usually do not get snagged easily.
